DESCRIPTION:HAnDA Symposia are held in a hybrid format, facilitating communication
among researchers and promoting the dissemination of research results on
Algebraic Hypercompositional Structures and their applications. Moving
beyond formal publications in journals or books, the Symposium seeks to
maintain an ongoing and welcoming environment for pure research, fostering
interdisciplinary influences and innovative developments. A core objective
of HAnDA is to facilitate personal acquaintance and networking among
researchers, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the cultivation of new
collaborations within the scientific community.
The topics to be covered by HAnDA relate to all types of hypercompositional
structures — such as hypergroups, hyperrings, hyperfields, hypermodules
etc — as well as their applications to the theories of fuzzy, rough, and
soft sets. Furthermore, the Symposium encompasses research in automata,
formal languages, codes, cryptography, graphs, lattices, groups,
differential equations, and geometry. Its scope also extends to diverse
scientific fields, including engineering, chemistry, biology, economics,
statistics, and information sciences.
The first HAnDA symposium was hosted in Thessaloniki in 2017, while
subsequent editions have been conducted in a hybrid format. HAnDA is
co-organized by the University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and the National
and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
This year’s symposium will take place from May 25–29, 2026.
Participants are kindly requested to confirm their participation by sending
the title and abstract of their presentation to: irina.cristea@ung.si and
chrmas@uoa.gr. The link for attending the symposium will be sent to
participants via email.
