Ολοκληρώθηκε η τελετή έναρξης του 4ου Διεθνούς Συνεδρίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Ομοτίμων Καθηγητών με τίτλο:
“Beyond Knowledge: Wisdom, Values and Ethics in Europe”
Την προσφώνηση έκανε ο Αντιπρύτανης Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, καθηγητής Ευστάθιος Ευσταθόπουλος.
Ακολούθησαν χαιρερισμοί από τον εκπρόσωπο του Προέδρου της Ελληνικής Κυβέρνησης, Υφυπουργό Παιδείας, Θρησκευμάτων και Αθλητισμού, καθηγητή Νικόλαο Παπαϊωάννου, τον Πρόεδρο του Συνεδρίου, τ. Πρόεδρο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Ομοτίμων Καθηγητών, ομότιμο καθηγητή Γεώργιο Χριστοδούλου, τον πρ. Πρόεδρο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Ομοτίμων Καθηγητών, ομότιμο καθηγητή Διονύσιο Κόκκινο.
Πραγμτατοποιήθηε επίσης κεντρική ομιλία από τον πρ. Πρόεδρο της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών, Ακαδημαϊκό, ομότιμο καθηγητή Σταμάτιο Κριμιζή, με τίτλο: “Looking at the Solar System Planets close-up. What we learned and why it’s important to use this knowledge ethically for Humanity’s benefit”
Μουσικό πρόγραμμα από φοιτητές του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών της Φιλοσοφικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.
Το μουσικό πρόγραμμα επιμελήθηκε η καθηγήτρια Αναστασία Γεωργάκη.
H διεξήχθη στην αγγλική γλώσσα.
Κατά την προσφώνησή του ο Αντιπρύτανης Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, καθηγητής Ευστάθιος Ευσταθόπουλος ανέφερε:
”We are particularly delighted that this important congress is being hosted in Athens, the historic city where the ideals of knowledge, dialogue, critical thinking and democracy were first cultivated and shared with the world. It is equally fitting that this gathering takes place at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the oldest university in Greece and one of the oldest academic institutions in Southeastern Europe, which for nearly two centuries has served the advancement of science, education and culture.
”The theme of this year’s congress, “Beyond Knowledge: Wisdom, Values and Ethics for Europe,” is both timely and profound. In an era marked by rapid technological change, artificial intelligence, geopolitical uncertainty, environmental challenges and social transformation, knowledge alone is not enough. Knowledge must be accompanied by wisdom. Scientific progress must be guided by ethical responsibility. Innovation must remain connected to human values.
