Οι “CIVIS initiatives” αποτελούν στοχευμένα αιτήματα/συναντήσεις/προτάσεις με διαφορετικούς στόχους όπως, η αναζήτηση εταίρων, δυνατότητες συμμετοχής σε webinars, workshops, training weeks, short courses κλπ. Αποτελούν bottom up δράσεις που υποστηρίζουν τις δυνατότητες δικτύωσης μεταξύ των μελών ΔΕΠ και των Ερευνητών των ιδρυμάτων του CIVIS.
CIVIS Global Challenge/Thematic Focus Area: Cities Territories Mobility
“Emblematic sign of nature and history, rivers represent priority environments in urban regeneration strategies by structuring ecological and social relations between different ecosystems, territories, landscapes and communities. The proposed Living Lab aims at experimenting an interdisciplinary didactic and research approach for the riverfront regeneration project, through the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for:
-the improvement of hydrogeological safety and rational management of the water cycle
-the protection and enhancement of river’s historical, cultural and landscape features
-the enhancement of ecological biodiversity and ecosystem services’ provision
-the construction of green-blue infrastructure to enhance social uses of the river, promote sustainable mobility systems, and foster eco-friendly behaviours and lifestyles able to support regenerative urban transition pathways”.
