2nd Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project ‘Water Skyball in Europe 2’ in Budapest, Hungary

The Laboratory of Adapted Physical Activity/Developmental & Physical Disabilities of the NKUA’s School of Physical Education and Sport Science, headed by Professor Dimitra Koutsouki, participated as a partner in the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the Water Skyball in Europe 2 project, held in Budapest, Hungary.

Water Skyball in Europe 2 is an Erasmus+ KA2 project aiming at:

  1. promoting Water Skyball, a new water sport created in Hungary in 2013, and
  2. organizing sports events to motivate people of all ages to play Water Skyball and to exercise.

The project’s coordinator, the Hungarian Water Skyball Federation, organized two sporting events as part of the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the Water Skyball in Europe 2 project. The 1st sporting event took place on 20 January 2023 at the Tüskecsarnok indoor arena, with students aged between 15 and 17 from schools across Budapest. The 2nd sporting event took place on 21 January 2023 at Aquaworld, one of the biggest indoor water theme parks in Europe, with parents/guardians and children of all ages. The event aimed to introduce the participants to the new sport and motivate them to engage in physical activities.

Finally, on 22 January 2023, the partnering Organizations discussed the following steps of the project and planned the 3rd Transnational Meeting, which will take place in Innsbruck, Austria, in March 2023.
