In October the 10th 2022, the updated database of the World’s top-cited scientists entitled “September 2022 data-update for Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” was published.
This annual ranking, by Professor Ioannidis from Stanford University, is based on several indicators related to the impact of the scientists’ published research work for the year 2021.
According to this database, the assistant professor of the Department of Digital Industry Technologies at School of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Petros Bithas, is included among 200,409 scientists ranked in the top 2% or above in their research field (in the single recent year dataset) as well as in the corresponding career-long database with the 195,605 scientists.
This distinction has been achieved for a second consecutive year.
