The British Council’s Study UK Alumni Awards 2024 selected Archimandrite Fr Aristarchos Gkrekas, an Assistant Professor at NKUA and clergyman in the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, as a finalist for the Social Action Award. This selection represents a significant international distinction for the Department of Theology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, 21 February 2024.
The above distinction strengthens the international impact of faculty members at the NKUA’s School of Theology in the context of their influence on society and the academic community. The Chair of the NKUA’s Department of Theology, Professor Dimitrios Moschos, and Fr Aristarchos’s colleagues wish further achievements to other faculty members for the benefit of the University in particular and the field of Theology in general.
