The Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Meletios-Athanasios Dimopoulos, was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Belgrade under the proposal of the School of Medicine of the same University.
The awarding of this title is a further recognition of the Professor’s work and contribution to Haematology-Oncology in particular and Medicine in general.
The ceremony took place on 5 October 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Dr Vladan Djokic, Rector of the University of Belgrade, gave a welcome address, while the honouree, Professor M.-A. Dimopoulos, delivered a speech entitled ‘Personalizing Medicine through Big Data and Artificial Intelligence’.
