Dr Tina Bagratuni and Prof. Meletios A. Dimopoulos were selected for funding from the highly competitive program of International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF), the IWMF-LLS Strategic Research Roadmap Initiative. The title of the funded project is the “Genomic characterization of ibrutinib-resistant WM”, and the grant award is 400,000 US dollars. The aims of this proposal are specifically designed to interrogate the composite and complex genomic architecture in WM, to inform on disease biology and interpret how current clinical decision making can be improved in the future.
