On October 10, 2022, two lists concerning the World’s Top 2% Scientists were announced. One considers the year 2021 and the other the entire work of the scientists. Both lists are available at the link:

Career-long data are updated to end-of-2021 and single recent year data pertain to citations received during calendar year 2021. The selection is based on a composite index and ranks the top 2% of scientists in the various subfields. 195,605 scientists are included in the career-long database and 200,409 scientists are included in the single recent year dataset. The last version is based on the Sept 1, 2022 snapshot from Scopus, updated to end of citation year 2021
According to this database, Charalambos Tsitouras, Professor of Mathematics in the General department, is included in both lists.
This distinction is held for the second year in a row.
