It is a project of audiovisual art and documentation, recording and displaying the activities done and experiences gained throughout the spiritual tour around Skiathos and the places that inspired Alexandros Papadiamantis to write.

A hundred students of NKUA participated in the three-day educational Symposium co-organized by the Dean’s Office of the School of Theology and the Municipality of Skiathos, from May 12 to 15, 2022, under the academic guidance of Ms Kirki Kefalea, professor of Comparative Literature at the Department of Social Theology and the Study of Religion of NKUA.

Also present at the educational Symposium ‘Exploring the World of Alexandros Papadiamantis’ were: Ms Irini Kotsovili, associate professor at the Centre for Hellenic Studies of Simon Fraser University (Canada), Mr Sotirios Despotis, professor at NKUA, Dr Eleni Vlachopoulou, laboratory teaching staff at the Department of Social Theology and the Study of Religion, international students of the English-taught Undergraduate Program of the School of Philosophy entitled ‘BA Program in the Archaeology, History, and Literature of Ancient Greece’ and the Erasmus+ Program, as well as students from various other Departments of NKUA.

As the culmination of a fruitful team effort that demonstrates the extroversion and internationalization of the University, LOOX Media, the organization for research and the development of artistic creation, the new media, audiovisual art, and communication in modern civilization, delivered the video documentary to associate professor Mr. Christos Karagiannis, the Dean of the School of Theology, after visual editing of the footage from the three-day educational tour.

It is noteworthy that the production of the video documentary was financed solely by LOOX Media as an effort towards knowledge dissemination and the connection between scientific research, culture, and art with humans and society.
