On Wednesday 5 June 2024, at the Propylaea building of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA, 30 Panepistimiou St, Athens), Professor Sophia Papaioannou, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, International Relations, and Extroversion, met with Professor Huang Baoyin, Chair of the Council at the University of International Business and Economics, UIBE, of Beijing.
Present at the meeting, on the part of NKUA, were Mr Andreas Papandreou, Professor at the Department of Economics, Mr Panagiotis Pantazakos, Professor at the Department of Philosophy, and Mr Dimitrios Balios, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, and, on the part of UIBE, Ms Huang Wei, Dean of the Graduate School, Mr Xing Xiaoqiang, Director of the Department of Scientific Research, Mr Li Xiaomeng, Director of the Department of International Relations, Mr Xu Lei, Deputy Director of the Department of Teaching, and Ms Yan Hongwei, Dean of the Confucius Institute.
In a constructive spirit, the two delegations discussed economics, intercultural ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and sustainable development. In an atmosphere of reciprocity and cooperation, the delegates of the two Universities expressed their desire and willingness to strengthen their relations.
