9th Workshop, Europe [7-8 July 2023]
This is the 9th workshop organized in Athens, Greece; now, it is organized by members (authors and editors) of the Cochrane Gynaecology and Fertility Group, and the Gynaecological, Neuro-oncology and Orphan Cancer Group along with Cochrane Greece.
Venue: https://uoa.webex.com/
This two-days interactive course is addressed to clinicians, researchers, public health specialists and other healthcare professionals and the level of expertise required is intermediate and above.
The objective of the workshop is to introduce RevMan Web, the new review authoring tool, a platform where new statistical methods can more easily be introduced, its features and advantages, especially in synchronous co-working. The second part (and day) of this webinar is dedicated to the presentation of the Version 2 of the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB 2), which constitutes the recommended tool to assess the risk of bias in randomized trials included in Cochrane Reviews. RoB 2 is structured into a fixed set (five) of domains of bias, focusing on different aspects of trial design, conduct, and reporting. A structured algorithm leads to a specific judgement about the risk of bias from each domain, leading to the concurrent judgments as be ‘Low’ or ‘High’ risk of bias, or can express ‘Some concerns’.
As a result of attending this course, participants will be able to:
- understand the step-by-step features that RevMan Web is offering
- understand the concurrent work with co-authors
- practice on various protocols and reviews online and in small groups
- learn about new headings, adding of figures, save changes and make the analysis
- combine RevMan Web with Covidence, RoB2 and GradePro
- edit and amend a review in RevMan Web
- find and use the guidance and support available for RevMan Web users
- assess the risk of bias in results of randomized trials using the developed RoB 2 tool
- use the ROBINS-I tool for assessing risk of bias in non-randomized studies of interventions
- practice on various examples on reviews online and in small groups
