Elli-Evangelia Bia, a doctoral graduate of the NKUA’s Department of History and Archaeology, secured first place in the annual recruitment competition for new scientific members at the École française d’Athènes.
Elli-Evangelia Bia defended her PhD thesis in September 2023, which was written under the joint supervision of Professor Platon Petridis from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Professor Dominique Pieri from Université Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne.
The research project she will undertake at the École française d’Athènes in the coming years is titled ‘Thasos, the Town and the Island: Spatial, Social, and Economic Dynamics in Late Antiquity.
