From 2 to 6 March 2026, the Department of Digital Industry Technologies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens successfully hosted the DIGITRANS Student Training School, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ DIGITRANS project.
The five-day training event was delivered online via the Webex platform and brought together students from several partner universities participating in the project. The training aimed to strengthen students’ competencies in emerging digital technologies for modern energy systems and to promote international knowledge exchange within the DIGITRANS academic network.
The programme included lectures, demonstrations, and simulation-based discussions covering key topics such as microgrid design and modelling, cybersecurity in digital energy infrastructures, and electric vehicle charging technologies. Participants gained valuable insights into digital tools and engineering approaches that support the development of smart, resilient, and sustainable energy systems.
The training school contributed to the DIGITRANS project’s broader goal of modernizing engineering education and strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and industry partners.
