The School of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (HDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, aiming to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation. The Dean of the School of Law, Professor Konstantinos Christodoulou, and the Director of HDA, Ambassador Michael Diamessis, formalized the agreement in the presence of the Rector of the University of Athens, Professor Gerasimos Siasos, and the MFA Secretary General, Ambassador Teresa Angelatou.
Also present at the signing ceremony were: Spyros Vlachopoulos, Member of the University’s Administration Council and Professor at the School of Law; former Dean of the School, Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos; Alternate Dean, Associate Professor Georgios Kyriakopoulos; Professors at the School of Law Photini Pazartzis, Rebecca-Emmanuela Papadopoulou, and Elina Moustaira; Assistant Professor Anastasios Gourgourinis; and Director of Studies at HAD, Minister Plenipotentiary Second Class, Michail Angelopoulos.
The Memorandum seeks to establish a common framework for action that enhances knowledge, fosters research and educational exchanges, and promotes the sharing of views, experiences, best practices, and expertise. Within this context, the scope of collaboration between the NKUA’s School of Law and HDA includes, among other initiatives, the exchange of academics, faculty members, diplomats, researchers, and experts in fields of mutual interest, the co-hosting of scientific conferences and events, as well as the mutual facilitation of access to the library services of both Institutions.
