XLIV International Conference of Τhe Instituto Internacional de la Literatura Iberoamericana [5-8/7/23]

We are pleased to announce the celebration of the XLIV International Conference of Τhe Instituto Internacional de la Literatura Iberoamericana (https://iilionline.org/welcome/ ) under the title “Disciplinary Crossings”.  The conference is organized by the Department of Spanish Language and Literature, School of Philosophy, of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, is held in Athens, Greece, between July 5 – 8th 2023 and it is presided by Professor Dimitrios L. Drosos.

The XLIV International Congress of IILI intends to reflect on the processes of transmission and reception of knowledge in Ibero-American literature and stimulate and interdisciplinary dialogue on the complexity of these processes.  The objective of this academic meeting is to produce a re-reading of the circulation of knowledge throughout five centuries of cultural production.  In this way, it will be possible to explore political, social and cultural problems from an intercultural and transcultural point of view.  It is therefore intended to examine how discipline, approached through literature, enables the development of interactivity between cultures and constitutes a source of cohesion and conflict. The International Congress will have great relevance and resonance at a global level, since more than 700 distinguished professors, researchers and eminences from different parts of the world and from various disciplines of the human sciences will participate with presentations and keynote lectures.
