From 9 to 11 March 2022, Aix-Marseille Université and CIVIS, the European Civic University, are organising a series of meetings on international cooperation in higher education. These assemblies are following the ministerial events organised during the French Presidency of the European Union’s Council in Marseille.
Aix-Marseille Université and CIVIS are pleased to invite you to their public conference:
European Universities between territorial integration and global ambition: a new dynamic for the Europe-Africa partnership?
On 10 March, from 09:00 to 13:00, come and take part in the discussion on the capacity of European university alliances to co-construct innovative partnerships with African universities in the field of research, training and innovation. This conference will also be an opportunity to explore how these new forms of extra-European partnerships can respond to the major societal challenges we share.
Achille Mbembe will be our guest of honour. Historian, political scientist and emeritus professor of the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, he will open the conversation with the 6 African partner universities of CIVIS, members of the European Commission and other invited European university alliances.
