Το ΕΚΠΑ φιλοξένησε το Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) «PolyUnderstanding: Polycrisis, Fragility and Resilience» της Συμμαχίας CIVIS

Από τις 15 έως τις 19 Ιουνίου 2026, το Τμήμα Επικοινωνίας και Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) φιλοξένησε στην Αθήνα το Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) «PolyUnderstanding: Polycrisis, Fragility and Resilience» (https://civis.widening.eu/offering/46/2194), το οποίο υλοποιήθηκε στο πλαίσιο της Συμμαχίας Ευρωπαϊκών Πανεπιστημίων CIVIS και του έργου PolyCIVIS.

Το εν λόγω πρόγραμμα συγκέντρωσε 27 φοιτητές και 20 ακαδημαϊκούς διδάσκοντες από 12 πανεπιστήμια της Ευρώπης και της Αφρικής και επιπλέον 6 εμπειρογνώμονες διδάσκοντες από εθνικούς και διεθνείς οργανισμούς, δημιουργώντας ένα δυναμικό, διεπιστημονικό περιβάλλον μάθησης και συνεργασίας γύρω από την έννοια της πολυκρίσης (polycrisis), δηλαδή της αλληλεπίδρασης και αλληλοενίσχυσης πολλαπλών σύγχρονων κρίσεων, όπως η κλιματική αλλαγή, οι κοινωνικές ανισότητες, η αναγκαστική μετανάστευση, η περιβαλλοντική υποβάθμιση, οι γεωπολιτικές εντάσεις και η οικονομική αστάθεια.

Η δια ζώσης εκπαιδευτική εβδομάδα αποτέλεσε μέρος του ευρύτερου μικτού προγράμματος (Blended Intensive Programme), το οποίο ξεκίνησε διαδικτυακά στις 4 Μαΐου και ολοκληρώθηκε στις 29 Ιουνίου 2026 με την υποβολή και παρουσίαση των τελικών εργασιών των συμμετεχόντων.

Το πρόγραμμα άνοιξε με την παρουσίαση των θεωρητικών θεμελίων της έννοιας της «πολυκρίσης» από τον Καθηγητή Malte Brosig και τη μεταδιδακτορική ερευνήτρια, Δρ. Faith Mabera από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Witwatersrand, οι οποίοι ανέδειξαν τις επιπτώσεις της στη διαμόρφωση δημόσιων πολιτικών και στη διεθνή διακυβέρνηση.

Τη δεύτερη ημέρα οι συμμετέχοντες εστίασαν στην έννοια της υγιούς πόλης, της αστικής ανθεκτικότητας και της κοινωνικής ισότητας μέσα από διαλέξεις και εργαστήρια της Καθηγήτριας Alessandra Battisti και της Δρ. Livia Calcagni(Πανεπιστήμιο Sapienza της Ρώμης). Ξεχωριστή θέση στο πρόγραμμα κατείχε το Climate Walk στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Αθήνας, κατά το οποίο οι φοιτητές εργάστηκαν στο πεδίο, καταγράφοντας παραμέτρους του αστικού μικροκλίματος και διαμορφώνοντας προτάσεις για περισσότερο βιώσιμους και ανθεκτικούς αστικούς χώρους.

Η τρίτη ημέρα ήταν αφιερωμένη σε ζητήματα περιβαλλοντικής ευαλωτότητας και ανθεκτικότητας. Οι συμμετέχοντες έλαβαν μέρος στο διαδραστικό Caladeros Game (Fish Bank Game) υπό την καθοδήγηση του Καθηγητή Juan Esteban MaloArrazola και της Δρ. Fátima Franco–Múgica (Αυτόνομο Πανεπιστήμιο της Μαδρίτης), διερευνώντας τις προκλήσεις της συλλογικής διαχείρισης των φυσικών πόρων και της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης.

Το πρόγραμμα συνεχίστηκε με εισηγήσεις του Καθηγητή Ahmadou Aly Mbaye (Πανεπιστήμιο Cheikh Anta Diop του Dakar) σχετικά με την κλιματική αλλαγή, τα μέσα βιοπορισμού, τις συγκρούσεις στην περιοχή του Σαχέλ και τις προκλήσεις της απασχόλησης στην Αφρική. Παράλληλα παρουσιάστηκε το CIVIS Sustainability Challenge από την Καθηγήτρια Μαρία Δασκολιά και τη Δρ. Νάγια Γρίλλια του ΕΚΠΑ, ενώ παρουσιάστηκε και η βραβευμένη πρωτοβουλία ThermeCO–Campus της ομάδας NKUA Ecosphere.

Κατά την τελευταία ημέρα του προγράμματος, ο Καθηγητής Παναγιώτης Τσάκωνας ανέλυσε τις προκλήσεις για την ασφάλεια της Ελλάδας σε μια εποχή διαδοχικών και αλληλοσυνδεόμενων κρίσεων, ενώ το πρόγραμμα ολοκληρώθηκε με το διαδραστικό παιχνίδι προσομοίωσης «Fragiles vs. Resilients», το οποίο σχεδίασε και συντόνισε ο Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Δημήτρης Γκούσκος, Συντονιστής του PolyUnderstanding BIP και Communication & Dissemination Co–Leader του PolyCIVIS. Μέσα από διαδοχικούς γύρους στρατηγικής σκέψης και συνεργασίας, οι φοιτητές διαμόρφωσαν κοινές προτάσεις πολυ-λύσεων («polysolutions») για την αντιμετώπιση σύνθετων και αλληλοσυνδεόμενων κρίσεων, αναδεικνύοντας τη σημασία της διεπιστημονικής συνεργασίας και της συλλογικής λήψης αποφάσεων.

Παράλληλα με τις εκπαιδευτικές δραστηριότητες, οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν την Αθήνα, την ιστορία και τον πολιτισμό της, ενώ συμμετείχαν και στην παραγωγή νέας σειράς podcasts του PolyCIVIS, με συνεντεύξεις ειδικών σε συνομιλία με φοιτητές και συζητήσεις γύρω από τη διεπιστημονική προσέγγιση της πολυκρίσης.

Το πρόγραμμα ανέδειξε τη σημασία της συνεργασίας μεταξύ πανεπιστημίων της Ευρώπης και της Αφρικής και επιβεβαίωσε τον ρόλο του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών ως ενεργού εταίρου της Συμμαχίας CIVIS στην ανάπτυξη καινοτόμων εκπαιδευτικών δράσεων που προωθούν τη διεθνή συνεργασία, τη διεπιστημονική γνώση και την από κοινού αναζήτηση λύσεων απέναντι στις σύνθετες προκλήσεις της σύγχρονης εποχής.
